Meet the Las Vegas Team Behind Mainspring Garage Door Co. of Las Vegas
Our Las Vegas crew is the same group that answers your call at 2 a.m., shows up in a marked truck, and stays until the door runs quiet. Most of us have been at this long enough to remember when Summerlin was still building out. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s the K.E.Y.S. code we train under, and the fact that none of us can stand leaving a job half-done.

Clint Overbey, Owner
I started in this trade back in 1984, the same year I founded Mainspring. The name came from the obvious place: that coiled spring above your door carries the full weight of the whole system, and when it lets go, nothing else matters much. I’ve spent four decades in Las Vegas garages, from the old ranch-style homes near Charleston Boulevard to the new builds climbing the hills around Henderson. I still answer the phone myself some nights, and I still drive out when a job goes sideways. My rule is simple: the price we quote is the price you pay, and if we don’t get it done right, we come back. No paperwork, no argument. I sign that promise on every invoice.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us for 14 years, and he’s the one we send when a spring has snapped in a triple-car setup or the cable has come off a custom wood door in The Ridges. He’s factory-certified on LiftMaster, Genie, and Chamberlain openers, but his real specialty is tracking down noise problems that other techs miss. He carries a stethoscope in his kit, the kind mechanics use, and he’ll spend twenty minutes isolating a squeak that the homeowner stopped noticing years ago. Off the clock, he restores vintage motorcycles in a shop near downtown. That patience with alignment and torque serves him well on both jobs.
Elena V., Senior Installer
Elena joined us in 2016 after six years doing commercial dock doors for a warehouse outfit north of the city. She handles our new construction and full replacement work across Las Vegas, from standard steel doors in North Las Vegas to insulated carriage-house styles in the foothills. She’s particularly sharp on Clopay and Amarr product lines, and she’s trained two of our apprentices through their first solo installs. Her detail that matters: she keeps a notebook of every door she’s hung, with the date, address, and any quirk of the framing. Says it helps her sleep. We’ve never had a callback on one of her jobs.
Darnell K., Service Coordinator
Darnell is the live voice you get when you call (844) 548-5142 at midnight on a Sunday. He’s been dispatching our Las Vegas team for nine years, and he knows which tech has the right torsion springs on their truck, which neighborhoods flood when the monsoon hits, and who’s closest to a stranded customer in Centennial Hills. He came up through customer service at a utility company, so he’s unflappable when people are stressed. His desk has a small cactus garden that he waters precisely once a week, same time. He says it’s the only thing in his life that doesn’t need him to improvise.
Jesse R., Apprentice Technician
Jesse is in his second year with us, working toward journeyman status under Marcus and Elena. He’s already cleared his certifications on standard torsion and extension spring systems, and he’s starting to handle cable replacements on his own. Before this, he was an auto mechanic at a shop off Sahara, so he came in already comfortable with torque specs and safety protocols. The detail that fits him: he asks more questions than any apprentice we’ve had, usually at the moment when most people would pretend they already knew. That’s why we hired him. In Las Vegas heat, a garage door that doesn’t seal properly costs real money on the power bill, and Jesse treats every weatherstrip like it’s his own.
